Vibhu Raghave: A Beacon of Resilience and Inspiration in Indian Television

Vibhu Raghave, a cherished figure in Indian television, passed away on June 2, 2025, after a valiant four-year battle with stage 4 neuroendocrine colon cancer. He was undergoing treatment at Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai. Raghave was widely recognized for his role as Saurav in the popular TV series “Nisha Aur Uske Cousins.” 

Throughout his illness, Raghave remained remarkably open about his journey, sharing updates and messages of hope with his fans on social media. In a video posted in January 2025, he revealed that the cancer had spread to his liver, spine, lungs, and other parts of his body. Despite the progression of the disease, he maintained a positive outlook and continued to inspire many with his strength and determination.

His close friends and colleagues, including actors Saumya Tandon and Addite Malik, expressed their grief and paid heartfelt tributes on social media. Tandon described Raghave as “a real warrior” who taught her “how to smile even when everything was falling apart.” 

Raghave’s funeral was held on June 3 in Jogeshwari West, Mumbai, where family, friends, and fans gathered to bid farewell to the actor who had touched so many lives. 

Vibhu Raghave’s legacy extends beyond his performances; he will be remembered for his unwavering courage, openness about his struggles, and the inspiration he provided to countless individuals facing their own battles.
