Old Rolls-Royce Cars Once Owned by Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan Fined Heavily in Bengaluru

In a rather unexpected turn of events, two vintage Rolls-Royce cars that once belonged to Bollywood legends Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan have now made headlines — not for their glamour, but for a hefty fine of ₹38 lakh. The cars, which were later bought by a Bengaluru-based businessman known as ‘KGF Babu’, were found to be running without paying the necessary road taxes in Karnataka.

Transport authorities in Bengaluru conducted a thorough inspection and discovered that these luxury cars had been evading road tax payments for years. Since the vehicles were registered outside the state but were being used regularly in Bengaluru, a fine was levied after assessing the dues and penalty.

‘KGF Babu’, a local businessman who has a fondness for high-end vintage cars, had reportedly bought the cars years ago. However, the lapse in paying taxes came into focus only recently. While the vehicles may have belonged to Bollywood royalty in the past, the current owner is now facing the consequences of skipping formalities.

This case is a reminder that no matter how iconic a car’s past may be, current legal requirements remain the same for everyone. It also highlights how authorities are now being more proactive in tracking luxury vehicle tax compliance in Indian cities.
