India’s Possible XI for 4th Test vs England: Bumrah, Pant Rested, New Faces Likely

Team India is likely to make a few changes for the fourth Test against England in Manchester, with reports suggesting that Jasprit Bumrah and Rishabh Pant may be rested. While nothing is official yet, team management is considering rotation and injury management as the long tour continues.

Bumrah, India’s premier fast bowler, has been bowling long spells throughout the series and might be given a break to manage workload. Pant, who recently returned from injury and played a few matches, could also be rested as a precaution, especially if there’s any niggle.

In their place, Mohammed Siraj is expected to lead the pace attack, supported by Mukesh Kumar and possibly Akash Deep, who impressed during the warm-up games. KS Bharat is the front-runner to take over wicketkeeping duties if Pant is not included.

In the batting department, the rest of the line-up is likely to remain the same, with Rohit Sharma leading the side. Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, and Virat Kohli are expected to retain their spots, while Rajat Patidar and Shreyas Iyer could also feature depending on the final call.

India currently leads the series 2-1, and a win here would seal the series. However, England’s fightback in the third Test has made the contest tighter.

The official playing XI will be revealed at the toss, but with fitness and form in focus, these changes appear logical.
