American Universities to Meet Indian Students at Education Fairs

Starting August 9, students across India will get a chance to meet representatives from accredited U.S. universities as EducationUSA hosts eight “Study in the U.S.” fairs in major cities. The event series will run until August 17, covering key locations including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, and others.

Organised by EducationUSA, the official U.S. government source for information on studying in America, these fairs aim to connect Indian students with admissions officers, faculty, and alumni. Attendees can explore undergraduate and postgraduate programs, learn about application processes, scholarship opportunities, and campus life in the United States.

The timing comes as interest in studying abroad continues to grow among Indian students, with the U.S. remaining one of the most sought-after destinations for higher education. The fairs are designed to provide first-hand, reliable guidance — something that can be invaluable when making decisions about courses, universities, and career paths.

In addition to one-on-one conversations, many of the fairs will also feature seminars on visa applications, funding options, and adapting to life in the U.S. Organisers emphasise that students from all academic backgrounds are welcome, whether they’re planning to apply this year or in the future.

With no entry fee, the events are expected to draw large crowds, giving aspiring students a unique opportunity to take their first step towards studying in America — without leaving their own city.
