A video from a government school has gone viral, stirring up public outrage and official action. In the clip, several young schoolchildren are seen crying and shouting, “Open the gate, Ma’am!” in what initially appeared to be a genuine protest. However, it was later revealed that the entire scene was staged — allegedly at the instruction of the school principal.
According to reports, the principal had asked the children to act as if they were locked out of the school. The goal was reportedly to create pressure for certain administrative demands or to attract media attention. But things took a different turn when the video went viral on social media, and people began questioning why children were being made to cry for the camera.
Authorities quickly launched an inquiry. After reviewing the footage and speaking to staff and students, the school education department suspended the principal, stating that using children in such a manner was inappropriate and unacceptable.
Many parents expressed concern over the emotional stress caused to the children during the staged protest. While some admitted they weren’t initially aware of what had happened, others called for stricter rules to prevent such misuse of students.
This incident has also sparked a broader discussion about ethics in schools, especially how school officials sometimes misuse their authority for personal or political agendas. Children, educators agree, should never be made a part of such performances.
For now, the principal is under suspension pending a full investigation.
