As Bihar gears up for its upcoming assembly elections, political activity is intensifying. On Tuesday, Tejashwi Yadav chaired a crucial 6-hour meeting with INDIA bloc leaders in Patna, signaling the alliance’s early preparation and unified front for the high-stakes contest.
During the meeting, Tejashwi didn’t hold back in criticizing Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He accused Nitish of “stealing ideas” from the opposition and using them without acknowledgment. Tejashwi said, “Many of the welfare programs and schemes that the NDA is talking about now were originally discussed and proposed by the INDIA bloc in earlier sessions.”
This INDIA bloc meet was more than just a show of strength—it was about strategy. Leaders from key parties like Congress, CPI, CPI(ML), and RJD were present. Discussions focused on constituency-level planning, seat-sharing arrangements, and a coordinated campaign to counter the NDA’s narrative in Bihar.
Tejashwi stressed the importance of unity within the alliance, saying that people are looking for an alternative to the current administration. He added, “It’s not just about winning seats; it’s about giving Bihar a government that listens and delivers.”
Meanwhile, Nitish Kumar has not directly responded to the allegations, but his party leaders dismissed them as “baseless” and said that good ideas don’t belong to any one party.
As the election nears, both alliances appear to be gearing up for a competitive and closely watched race.
